Dan “The Giant KIller” Padilla on MuscleSport Radio 9/1

On Tuesday, September 1, MuscleSport Radio welcomes legendary bodybuilder Dan “The Giant Killer” Padilla. The 5’2″ New Yorker competed in four different decades and won the 1975 Mr. USA and 1977 Mr. America overall titles. Padilla went up against the best in the world in the AAU, IFBB and WBF and topped off his great career with a top-10 finish at the 2000 Masters Olympia.

Standing at 5’2″, Padilla’s best chance for a Sandow came in 1981 when the diminutive Franco Columbu won it all. Many have contested that Padilla, who finished fifth, was in much better condition than the men who finished ahead of him (Chris Dickerson, Tom Platz and Roy Callender).
