The hits just keep on coming and the IFBB has another big contest taking place the same weekend as the Europa Show of Champions, with this one holding a men’s open bodybuilding competition. Some of the 18 names that will be called at the Mr. Europe Grand Prix in Madrid, Spain competed recently at the FIBO Power Pro.
One of them will be Johnnie O. Jackson, the winner of last week’s show in Germany. Michael Kefalianos was the runner-up and more good things are expected out the fast-rising Australian. Veterans Sergey Shelestov and Gustavo Baddell will also take the stage, but the one name that jumps off the page is none other than Brandon Curry.
‘The Prodigy’ is coming off two consecutive very impressive placings and appears to be answering any questions that the critics may have had earlier in his career. At the 2011 Mr. Olympia, Curry placed eighth and then took seventh at the Arnold Classic this past March. What made the two top-ten placings even more eyebrow raising is that Curry was taking both the Olympia and Arnold stages for the first time.
Here is the official line-up card:
