A Perfect Storm

Perfect Storm…Almost

The spring was not looking very good for New York sports. The Knicks had just come off another disastrous season and the Mets and the Yankees were far from contending.

Now its summer and the in a couple months October could bring the perfect storm of sports to New York. The New York Giants are set to begin the season in defense of their Super Bowl victory. The experts may question if the team is the favorite in the NFL, the NFC, or even in their own division, but fans with Giants tickets know that the team overcame similar speculation to win the title.

The week could be filled sports on more than just Sunday. The baseball teams are making huge plays for their divisions and could potentially bring another Subway Series to town. It looks like either Mets tickets or Yankees tickets will be change hands late into the MLB postseason.

The perfect storm pretty much stops there. The Jets are not going to challenge the Patriots. The Jets might not even challenge the Buffalo Bills or the Miami Dolphins. Looks like the football ticket for Giants Stadium will be in greater demand than for the Giants.

Then again in the wide world of sports nobody knows what could happen. The Tampa Bay Rays are in first place in the AL East. Maybe even the New York Knicks will start out strong in Madison Square Garden, well maybe not. Knicks tickets might be fun to watch a full court run and gun contest with Mike D’Antoni in charge, but I would not count on a winner just yet.

In the meantime New York sports fans can salivate over the Giants, Yankees, and Mets playing deep into the fall.
