WRITE FOR US

MuscleSport Mag is looking for writers to submit articles on the subjects that we will cover here (bodybuilding, pro sports, steroids, supplements, etc.). Although the positions do not pay, this is a great way to pick up a few ‘by lines’ and receive exposure and experience. Please send writing samples to Joe Pietaro at superbas@optonline.net.

ABOUT US

More than bodybuilding, more than professional team sports. “MuscleSport Mag” will bring you the two and the crossover market in both – anabolic steroids and what they mean to both entities. We will not pull any punches or give you some line of BS because it’s politically correct. We’ll leave that for the other places that jerk you around. We’ll give you the scoop on the so-called “legal steroids” or “steroid alternatives,” and if they are just glorified Flintstones vitamins with an expensive price tag.

In today’s society, the use of performance-enhancing drugs has taken center stage and many of the reasons why athletes have decided to go that route are unknown. In the world of competitive bodybuilding, the use of these drugs have been obvious and, quite frankly, accepted as ‘the norm’ and overlooked. That is a fact, and the sport has grown because of it.

When you look at the NFL or Major League Baseball, people are shocked because the players have decided to use the type of drugs that have worked for their brethren in other sports. It has been a part of competition since the original Olympic games in ancient Greece to get an advantage over your opponent, so the surprise for team sports should not be that they are using, but what took them so long to find that advantage. And now that they have, how quickly it has become ‘taboo’ to do so.

We will take a look at so many of the issues out there and also bring you interviews with the superstars of bodybuilding and the pro sports and their opinions on the subject.

THIS IS YOUR MAGAZINE

We are looking to do profiles on you - the up and coming athlete that deserves recognition. If you would like MuscleSport Mag to do a story on you, just send it to us with a photo along with your contact information to superbas@optonline.net.

TELL US WHAT YOU THINK

Let us know what type of material you want us to cover. Which players or bodybuilders that you want to see more of, what’s in your “gear bag,” supplements that you want us to review, and whatever else is on your mind. Drop us an email at superbas@optonline.net.

We like for MuscleSport Mag to have their certain ‘edginess’ to it. To ‘push the envelope’ a little further. A lot further. Why? Because the truth hurts sometimes, and if people remember the old line, “Don’t kill the messenger,” and stop being so politically correct, then maybe there can be something worth reading out there. You’re not going to read that a certain supplement is a piece of crap in one of the muscle mags that have four-page ads in there of the same product. They’re also not going to tell you that the bodybuilder in the ad squats over 400 pounds because he is on his umpteenth cycle and stacking, not because he takes a pill that is on sale at GNC. But we will tell you those type of things. Without a biased opinion.

If we suck, tell us so. We’re not afraid of criticism, but only ask for you to tell us why you feel that way so we can address it and correct it. (How many places welcome feedback like that?)
