Since then, a scenario of ‘what can go wrong will go wrong’ seemed to be the mantra of Policky’s life. Injuries forced her to sit out the 2010 Arnold Classic (Ms. International) and then a series of personal problems that included going through a divorce, alcohol and drug use, as well as a stint in rehab, caused her to stay away from the sport and the fitness lifestyle in general.

Policky is back on track with her life now and although she is currently retired and has stated that she has no plans to ever compete again as a bodybuilder, we will see if a change to the new Women’s Physique Division may be in the cards for her.

As the years went on, the likes of Bill Pearl, Dennis Tinerino, Boyer Coe, Chris Dickerson, Casey Viator, Steve Michalik, Jim Morris, Tony Pearson, Ray Mentzer and Tim Belknap all were honored with victories. The last winner was Tracey Dorsey in 1999.

Now it is once again part of the bodybuilding schedule as an all-natural show sanctioned by the INBF. The man responsible for doing all of this is none other than Bob Bonham of Strong and Shapely Gym in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Bonham has penned numerous articles for the various bodybuilding publications over the years and is well known throughout the industry.

The 2011 INBF Mr. America contest will be held on May 21 at Martin Luther King High School located at Amsterdam Avenue and 65th Street in New York City. The pre-judging begins at 11 AM ($25 tickets) and the evening show is at 6 PM ($50).

Highlights include men’s bodybuilding, women’s bodybuilding, figure, Best Body and mixed pairs.

This news has come with mixed reviews, as the hardcore bodybuilding fan base can be heard complaining that the contests are too long as it is and adding another division will only water everything down more and that it has only been introduced to elicit more money from the competitors. Then you have the other side of the coin, where the fans will have a more diverse field to cheer for in both the men and women’s categories now.

SANDRA BLACKIE’S CONTEST HISTORY

Faulk was the second overall pick of the Indianapolis Colts in the 1994 NFL Draft and won both the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and Pro Bowl MVP Awards. He was traded to the St. Louis Rams prior to the 1999 season and won a Super Bowl that year, as well as the NFL Offensive Player of the Year Award. The following season, Faulk won the NFL MVP Award.

After missing the entire 2006 campaign due to a knee injury, Faulk was forced to retire in 2007 and has been a staple on the NFL Network as an analyst ever since. He finished with 12,279 rushing yards, 6,875 receiving yards, and 136 combined touchdowns. Faulk will go into Canton, Ohio along with his fellow inductees that include Deion Sanders, Richard Dent, Shannon Sharpe, Chris Hanburger, Les Richter and Ed Sabol.
