FAME/BodyProud Pre-Judging Wows ‘Em

Fans of the Iron Game are well aware of how important the pre-judging rounds are in determining the placings that will be announced during the finals. It is said that the evening show is mainly for the fans and a formality. Sorry to break the news, but that isn’t the case with the FAME World Tour.

The War Memorial in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida was robust with plenty of hootin’ and hollerin’ on Saturday afternoon and one can only imagine how loud it is going to get later on. The judge’s panel were very meticulous in getting every available angle and view of all the competitors and asked for the music to be turned down on more than one occasion to concentrate and get the scoring right.

Category after category were marched out and went through their routines as family, friends and fans cheered them on. Getting a good look at the costumes during the ‘theme’ rounds also resulted in rounds of applause and showed just one of the many reasons why attending a FAME show is an entirely different experience than anything else.

Some of the women’s outfits were reminiscent of a Victoria’s Secret modeling show with muscles. And it wasn’t all just for the guys in the audience. The men’s fitness rounds gave the impression of a large bachelorette party.

FRIDAY NIGHT’S FAME SHOWCASE

The weekend began with a public yet intimate evening with a room full of not only the FAME athletes, but their family, friends and support teams. Competitors came from as far as Australia and the United Kingdom and were called up to the stage to tell their personal story.

Inspiring and touching tales accompanied the positive feeling of seeing these special people in person and learning first hand why they decided to become ‘BodyProud.’ In some ways it had the feel of an AA meeting or something along those lines but instead of stating how many days they have been ‘clean,’ these people said what made them decide to make a lifestyle change and dedicate themselves to the gym.

From recovering addicts to accident victims and the physically challenged, these men and women all had their time with the microphone and it was an experience unlike any other that one would expect the night before a bodybuilding show.

We have fantastic news that we are sooo excited to share with you!

In determining how to best serve our athletes and you, our Body Proud Community members, we have teamed up with the Drug Free Sports Association (DFSA) to raise money for its Body Proud Athlete’s Fund, Muscles Making a Difference Everywhere (MMADE) Campaign, and the Amy Barnes Peaceful Homes Everywhere Fund (ABPHE).

In doing so, we are thrilled to encourage all of you to attend – and invite all your friends, fans, family, sponsors (and anyone you feel would enjoy and/or benefit from watching your performance) — to be part of the FAME International Championships for FREE!

YES — FREE PASSES!!!

With each free ticket the DFSA simply asks for a small $2 donation. A percentage of what the DFSA raises will go to support the Body Proud Athlete’s fund, MMADE, and ABPHE!

We know how important it is for our Body Proud Community Members – turned -Athletes to have as much support as possible. So we’re proud that the money raised is going to the DFSA which is YOUR association. It translates to money that will go towards educational seminars and workshops hiring FAME Athletes. Now, together with the DFSA, we’re creating the support needed to get you the exposure you need to further your careers WHILE you inspire others to emulate your body proud lifestyle and get healthy. And all you need to do is keep doing the wonderful growth you each are already doing and share it with the world. THANK YOU for all you are and all you do.

In fact, living true to what’s most important in life is how the AMPHE started. As you already know, Amy Barnes is one of Body Proud Community Members who is also making her debut as a FAME Athlete in Fort Lauderdale next week. Competing has been her goal for the last 5 years! Amy let FAME know that she really wanted to reach out to assist people who share her “story” of being a survivor of extreme domestic violence. She acknowledges that YOUR support is so much of why she is now in a position to inspire other women to know they can triumph just like she did. We realized that the DFSA could actively support Amy’s cause by making it one of its programs, and it was a no-brainer to do that, so we did. Again, thanks to everyone for being members an organization that could create that kind of amazing support with such ease.

Of course, we’re also happy that now it’s easier than ever for the competitors to approach even more people to attend the show – and invite those you may have never considered asking before! ) And the great thing is that it’s going to be a super fun, highly entertaining – and inspirational – weekend!

The bottom line is that the FAME World Tour event is, as always, possibly the very “inspiration” your friends and family need to start living body proud the way you do so that they change their lives positively forever.

As originally reported on the FAME World Tour/BodyProud official website: We are thrilled to announce we have joined forces with industry bigwig, Muscle Sport Magazine. So… what does this mean? More opportunity and more recognition for YOU!

With this strategic partnership FAME World Tour athletes and Body Proud Community members will be featured on their RADIO show and as part of their MAGAZINE!

Even more exciting for us is the fact that prior to coming to this agreement, Muscle Sport Magazine was partially funded through sponsors and businesses that were not promoting a “body proud” type lifestyle. However, based on our agreement,their entire scope has shifted and you will no longer find any banner which promotes steroid use!!!

Founding Editor, Joe Pietaro has this to say: “When we first approached FAME about working together, we immediately realized the value that this relationship provided. The type of contests and lifestyle they were promoting had an immediate impact on us and we were, quite frankly, blown away by their professionalism.

The entire BodyProud concept that they convey caused us to rethink our direction in certain aspects. Because performance-enhancing drugs are a part of sports, including bodybuilding, we did have some advertisers in that field. To be aligned with an organization as solid as the FAME World Tour/World Natural Sports Organization/BodyProud is something that should not be taken lightly, and we here at MuscleSport Mag do not intend to do so. We are extremely proud to be a new strategic partner with an outfit that has been part of the bodybuilding and fitness community for 12 years and is known worldwide.

This agreement comes with the recent changes made at MuscleSport Mag that have put us more in line with a natural sports environment.

In the next few months, the tour will be making stops in South Africa, Quebec, Alberta, Vancouver, Czech Republic and Florida.
