By Paul Becker, copyright © 2008 Paul Becker - In The Rader Master Bodybuilding and Weight Gaining System, Peary told us about a program he developed that could add up to 3/4 of an inch to a trainees arms in one day.

The program goes like this – pick a day when you can do nothing but train, eat and rest. You use just two exercises, one for triceps and one for biceps, and you do a set of each every hour for 12 hours. Use a weight lighter then your usual poundages, and do not work to failure. Eating some protein every hour, massaging the muscles after each workout and to resting all you can, were also recommended.

This program has worked for many and we could continue to use it exactly the same way to get a quick increase in arm size, but Peary gave us a hint of the full usefulness of this method. He stated “Most men use it on their arms since no one ever seems to have as large arms as he would like. However it will work on any muscle. We hope that some day when we have a greater understanding of muscle growth and the controlling factors, a similar method can be applied to men and women in a specialized session of perhaps a month and give them a physique that today takes years to acquire.” So we can see that Peary had a lot of hope for this method.

I believe I have a program that would be useful for advanced hardgainers who would like a quick increase in size all over their body. It would go something like this, you pick six exercises that cover the entire body, for example squats, bench press, over-head press, rows, calf raises and curls. For about 4 weeks you workout twice a week ,wed and sat, (this is to get used to these exercises and avoid extreme soreness when you begin specialization) do 2 work sets for each exercise, then on week five on Wednesday you do your regular workout but on Saturday you take the first exercise (squats) and do one set an hour for 12 hours, use about half of your usual poundage the idea as Peary said was “Working on the principle of flushing the muscles with blood and keeping them flushed all day long, the muscles will grow unbelievably for a short time.”, so we aren’t trying to push to maximum on these sets. Keep the Wednesday workouts the same as the first 4 weeks, and every Saturday take the next exercise in your program and hit it for 12 sets in 12 hours.

This program is still admittedly experimental, but all signs seem to show that it would bring about a big gain over the 10 weeks it takes to complete. The most important thing is that you don’t get overtrained, do only two workouts a week, and give the most days rest after the specialization day, hence the wed and sat schedule. The other thing is to do the hardest exercises like squats early in the cycle when you recovery ability is strongest and as the cycle progresses you work your way down, and at the end of the cycle you are doing the least taxing exercise like curls. The volume per exercise is high one day a week but the overall volume is kept at about 12 sets a workout, which is still not too bad for a hardgainer.

If you are a beginner, or intermediate stick to the basics like 20 rep squats, heavy deadlifts, presses, at al., you will grow plenty fast if you work hard, and eat and rest enough. But, if you are getting close to you potential and would like to get a quick burst of size, try this routine and see how it works for you. Tell me how it goes.

At the 2008 Bill Grant Classic, the weather was not what you would call perfect for an outdoor event. The rains came and poured down on the assembled crowd but it did not damper their enthusiasm, especially when one of the guest posers took the stage.

Taylor Boyd looks like a mixture between a heel professional wrestler and the guy chasing teenagers through the woods in a slasher movie. The 6’3″, 300-pound New Jersey native put on a show with make-up and costume props. The NPC competitor has three contest wins so far in his young career, the last being the 2008 NPC New Jersey Suburban in the super heavyweight division.

It came as no surprise when Boyd said that his favorite body part to train were his 31-inch legs. “During them (leg workouts), you get so much overall muscle growth it’s incredible,” he said on his official website, www.taylorboyd.net. The mass monster further stated that he doesn’t change things up too much when it comes time to get ready for a show.

“My training style is heavy compound movements for offseason and contest prep.”

He does drop down to approximately 260 pounds for a competition, still nothing to sneeze at. In an era of bodybuilding where freaky size is the ‘in’ thing, Boyd fits the bill and surely made an impression in Pennsylvania last summer.

This is part of an exclusive series by MuscleSport Mag on the 2009 NPC Bill Grant Classic, for which we are one of the show’s official sponsors. The show will take place on Saturday July 18 in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Look through the pages of any muscle/fitness orientated magazine and it is easy to get lost in the sea of supplement ads that compete with actual articles for space. Given the abundance of products featured you would think that every supplement you could ever need was right there at your fingertips, all you had to do was open your wallet and health, strength and unlimited muscle growth was yours. However, over the years there has been one glaring omission from the supplement files. Despite its proven health benefits, the antioxidant peptide glutathione has managed to slip under the radar as far as essential nutrients are concerned. In this feature I aim to change all that by officially introducing you to this substance and also examining some of the ways you can benefit from its use. So let’s get things started with a little background information:

GLUTATHIONE – THE FACTS

Glutathione is what is known as a tripeptide composed of the amino acids Cysteine, Glutamic Acid and Glycine. It is found in all cells of the body but resides predominantly in the lungs, intestinal tract and liver. In the liver glutathione assists in the detoxification of harmful compounds, allowing them to be eliminated in the bile. When glutathione levels are low liver and lymphatic functions suffer, allowing toxins to circulate throughout the body, which ultimately leads to damage in individual cells and organs. It is interesting to note that gluthionine is so powerful when it comes to detoxifying drugs that doctors routinely use glutathione promoting drugs in the treatment of patients with certain types of drug overdose.

Another point of interest is that the herb milk thistle, which is often used as a liver protector, exerts its effect by modestly increasing glutathione levels.

GLUTATHIONE – IN THERAPY

The health benefits of glutathione are not restricted to liver and lymphatic function however and this valuable substance exerts powerful therapeutic properties throughout the whole body.

Glutathione has proven effective in the treatment of:

Cardiovascular disease

Arteriosclerosis

Cancer (where it may suppress tumor growth, retard oxidative stress and ease the side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy)

Pulmonary disease (glutathione is the most efficient free radical scavenger in the airways)

Asthma

Chronic bronchitis

Digestive disorders (including inflammatory bowel disease, peptic ulcer)

Immune system disorders (glutathione plays an important role in the function of lymphocytes which fight viral infection)

Lyme disease: This is a complex multi-system acidic inflammatory condition that is triggered by bacterial exotoxins. Glutathione assists in the removal of these toxins by forming a soluble compound with them, which can then be transported out of the system through the urine or gut.

Chronic fatigue syndrome: Levels of glutathione are often low in patients with CFS.

Diabetes: Diabetics often have very low blood and tissue levels of glutathione.

Diseases of aging including cataracts, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, arteriosclerosis etc

Neurological disease: Low glutathione levels have been associated with neuro-degenerative diseases such as MS, ALS, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

GLUTATHIONE AND SPORTS PERFORMANCE

Glutathione exerts many metabolic effects, which can significantly enhance athletic performance. This includes – but is not restricted to- decreasing recovery time from physical stress, producing greater strength and endurance and reducing muscle pain and fatigue. Glutathione’s powerful detoxifying and immune system boosting properties also lead to the body functioning at optimal level and, when in this enhanced state, the whole process of recovery, repair and growth may take place at an accelerated level. Glutathione may also assist in maintaining even blood sugar levels during training although this has not been scientifically proven.

GLUTATHIONE USE AND TREATMENT OPTIONS

Dr Michelle Alpert of ‘Flatiron Health Associates’ in Manhattan conducts a unique form of glutathione treatment. Aware of the fact that glutathione is usually not absorbed very well when administered orally, Dr Alpert has her own specialized methods for delivering this valuable nutrient…

“In my own practice, I either give glutathione alone in a saline solution, or I add glutathione as a ‘chaser’ at the end of a specialized detox drip, to help prevent any oxidation – since glutathione oxidizes easily when exposed to air or in the presence of certain minerals. I have given this to patients with multiple sclerosis, chronic fatigue, HIV, Lyme disease, Guillain-Barre syndrome, hepatitis C, or just garden-variety stress and fatigue. One hepatitis C patient’s liver values returned to normal and she resumed a full teaching schedule at her university after a series of detox drips. Another patient with chronic Lyme disease finds that weekly detox drips with glutathione improve her neurological symptoms of buzzing, burning and fatigue. My own nurse uses glutathione in fighting off colds. And I myself take a detox drip with glutathione weekly.”

OVERCOMING ABSORPTION DIFFICULTIES

The fact that oral glutathione does not easily lend itself to oral absorption has also led Dr Alpert to begin experimenting with nebulized glutathione (which requires a prescription). Her experience is that patients are having great success with this alternative – especially when used in combination with detox drips.

Another option for those who do not have access to intravenous treatment with glutathione is to consume whey protein. Whey protein has been found to increase cellular glutathione. The whey protein must of course be of the highest quality. One of the most potent whey proteins to hit the market in recent years is ISOLYZE from SPECIES NUTRITION. It is therefore highly recommended that you seek out this brand in order to obtain the best possible results in terms of both glutathione uptake and overall recovery from your workouts.

There is no doubt that glutathione is a valuable nutrient in terms of your overall health and well-being. Its position as a master antioxidant is unchallenged. In fact, without glutathione your cells would suffer greatly from unrestrained oxidation and your liver would be overwhelmed by toxic accumulation. It may not be considered a staple in the athletic supplement cupboard as yet but then again, once upon a time the now omnipresent Creatine was accompanied everywhere it went with a question mark!

Contains: Vitamins B, E and PP, Linoleic, Linolenic and Oleic Acids.

This is a very unique product in that it presents a vitamin and essential fatty acid supplement in the form of an injectable compound (although a tablet form is also available). The vitamins and fatty acids function synergistically to assist in the removal of fatty deposits in the liver, thereby helping to maintain normal liver function.

B vitamins are essential when it comes to metabolism and cell growth and, as water soluble vitamins, they need to be replaced daily. Vitamin E is a valuable antioxidant, which is known to reduce the effects of free radicals on the body. When it comes to fatty acids, although the fatty acids presented here are added for their liver protecting properties, their importance in the process of muscle growth cannot be ignored. In fact, a deficiency of any of the essential fatty acids will result in a decrease in muscle growth and repair.

When muscle cells are broken down due to weight training it is not just the internal protein content that is affected, the fatty cell membrane (comprised of essential fatty acids) also needs to be repaired. The failure to ingest adequate EFA’s along with protein will seriously impair the growth process. With this in mind, ‘Essentiale Forte N’ not only serves as a valuable product to assist in the optimum function of your liver, it also has the added benefit of assisting cellular renewal and growth.

The Linoleic, Linolenic and Oleic acids (also known as omega 3, 6 and 9 respectively) also contribute to hormone production and – in the case of Oleic acid – may present the added benefit of increasing metabolic rate.

‘Essentiale Forte N’ is normally used for the treatment of:

Hepatic Steatosis

Acute and chronic hepatitis

Cirrhosis

Liver cytoclasis

Hepatic coma and pre-coma, toxic liver effects

Psoriasis, neurodermatitus

That being said, it is easy to see that it is a very interesting product to consider adding to any supplement schedule that may compromise the liver (e.g. the use of c-17 alpha-alkylated drugs).

It is also a safe, natural product to use in terms of general health. The only side effect associated with its use seems to be gastric upset. Having said that, it seems that this effect is only experienced by those taking high doses (which is true for most supplements anyway)

You can find out more about this supplement by going to www.napsgear.net

Welcome to the first part of a comprehensive series that will take an in- depth look at various issues surrounding steroids and steroid use. In this on-going series we will cover such issues as liver function, thyroid function, insulin use (for non diabetic trainers), steroids and women, Clenbuterol use, testosterone esters in depth, counterfeit steroids, frequently asked questions etc. We will also take a closer look at mass building drugs, cutting drugs and anti-estrogens.

All in all, this is going to be a pretty comprehensive series! So let’s get started with a lesson in:

BASIC PHARMACOLOGY

Anabolic Steroids are derivatives of the male hormone testosterone and, as such, they exert their effects on many testosterone sensitive tissues within the body. This includes reproductive tissues, muscle, bone, hair follicles, liver, kidneys , white and red blood cells and brain. These effects fall under two classifications:

• ANABOLIC – Promoting muscle growth
• ANDROGENIC – Promoting the development of masculine characteristics

Of primary interest to the athlete of course is the anabolic effect. Testosterone is the primary hormone involved in muscle growth. Put simply, testosterone enters the inside of the muscle cell where it binds with an androgen receptor. It then continues its journey until it reaches the nucleus of the cell. On arrival at this destination the ‘dynamic duo’ turn on or off specific segments within the DNA in order to trigger muscle growth.
In addition to triggering muscle growth, anabolic steroids also prevent muscle breakdown (catabolism) by inhibiting the action of cortisol and other glucocorticoids, which are known for their catabolic effect.

CHEMISTRY

In order to exert maximum effects in the body anabolic steroids need to be chemically altered. When testosterone itself is taken orally it is swiftly broken down and eliminated by enzymes present in the intestines and the liver. In the case of steroids, a process known as 17a-alkylation has structurally altered most oral products, this protects the steroid from being destroyed by these enzymes. This 17a-alkylation, whilst good on paper, does unfortunately result in most oral drugs being harsh on the liver. It also causes negative changes in HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol). The advice here would be to ensure that, whilst taking oral steroids, it is wise to include some form of liver protection e.g. Legalon available from www.maximedicine.com.

Oral anabolics are often preferred by drug-tested athletes due to their short clearing time (i.e. the amount of time they are detectable in the system).
In the case of injectable steroids, these are naturally produced androgens (testosterone, nortestosterone, boldenone) bound to a fatty acid by an ester bond at the 17-carbon. This serves, not to protect the substance against enzymes (like the 17a-alkylation) but to increase the amount of time the steroid remains in an oil globule, following injection, before it enters the circulation.

On entering the bloodstream, the fatty acid is split off by enzymes called esterazes. In the case of a long fatty acid this results in a slow release of the steroid over a course of days or weeks.

THE ESTROGEN FACTOR

Many of you will already be familiar with a process known as ‘aromatization’. This is a process by which testosterone is converted into estrogen. Most bodybuilders try to avoid estrogen conversion by taking anti-estrogen drugs such as Arimadex. Arimadex exerts its effect by neutralizing the aromatase enzyme. When you take aromatase out of the equation testosterone can no longer be converted to estrogen. This assists in the reduction of estrogen dependent fat deposition, water retention and gynecomastia (the growth of breast tissue in males).

However, before you go crazy with aromatase inhibitors and anti-estrogens (e.g. Nolvadex) do remember that too little estrogen can slow muscle growth, suppress HDL (good) cholesterol and kill sex drive. Therefore, the key to using these substances is to take them in moderation so that you blunt estrogens effects without removing it completely from your system.

IN SUMMARY

The undisputed fact of the matter is that anabolic steroids are immensely popular with not only professional and recreational athletes, but also those individuals just wishing to improve their performance and overall quality of life. Knowing how they work, how to safely use them and how to protect your health during and after use is vital not only to your success but also to your overall health. There is no denying their effectiveness but there is also no denying the side effects that can result from their abuse/misuse. It is for that reason that, here at Muscle sport, our aim is to educate rather than condemn those who decide to integrate these substances into their fitness regime. So, that said, stay tuned to this spot for much more from the ‘Steroid Insider’ over the following months.

By Leigh Penman

Technically speaking, Finastride is an orally active testosterone Type 11 5-alpha- reductase inhibitor. There are actually two different 5-alpha- reductase enzymes:

TYPE 1 – This is predominant in the sebaceous glands of most regions of the skin, including the scalp and the liver. Type 1 5alpha-reductase is responsible for approximately one third of circulating DHT.
TYPE 11 – This is found primarily in the prostate, seminal vesicles and hair follicles as well as the liver, and is responsible for two thirds of circulating DHT.

From the above information it is clear that any substance that actively blocks type 11 alpha reductase is of great value. Finasteride is this substance. Using Finasteride can actually reduce your total DHT levels by around 65%.

So why should you be concerned about blocking DHT?

Well, Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is a breakdown product of testosterone and is produced in the prostate gland, hair follicles and adrenal glands. High levels of DHT trigger hair loss and prostate growth in genetically susceptible men. When you use 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors like Finasteride you effectively block DHT production, which in turn shrinks enlarged prostate glands and prevents hair loss. Although hair loss could be considered merely cosmetic it can be distressing for many men and, it goes without saying, that prostate enlargement is nothing to be dismissive of as it can be a forerunner to prostate cancer.

FINASTERIDE AND MUSCLE GROWTH

It has often been reported that the use of drugs such as Finasteride may slow muscle gains during a cycle and even lead to erectile dysfunction (ED). In a recent report in the Journal Andrology, it was stated that 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors did not cause ED, even in men who took the drugs for as long as two years and reduced DHT levels by up to 93%. Little effect was also observed in skeletal muscle.

There have also been reports of drugs such as Finasteride inhibiting natural testosterone production due to its action on luteinizing hormone release. Studies have also been conducted to call this assertion into question. In this case Finasteride, when administered with testosterone, actually allowed luteinizing hormone release to continue without interruption. The speculation here is that you can use Finasteride on a cycle (1mg/day) and possible keep your LH levels normal (and thus your HPTA) therefore making recovery much easier on ceasing anabolic use.
This is merely speculation though.

DOSAGE

For men concerned about their hairline or those who have incidences of prostate issues in their family, then 1mg/day of Finasteride may be worth considering. Also, when using androgenic steroids (e.g. testosterone) this substance should be considered to ward off hair loss. Boldenone Undecyclate (Equipoise) is another drug that responds well to Finasteride.

SIDE EFFECTS

Side effects associated with the use of Finasteride are relatively uncommon and are primarily sexual in nature (e.g. decreased semen production, decreased sex drive, breast tenderness). When use is kept to the recommended 1mg/day this should not be of concern. In fact statistics reveal only one or two men in a hundred actually suffer any side effects and this is usually due to taking more than the recommended safe dosage.

(Testosterone Propionate – 50mg, Drostanolone Propionate – 50mg, Trenbolone Acetate – 50mg)

One look around the various muscle forums hanging out on the web will tell you that this ready-made stack is rapidly gaining cult status.

A run down of the ingredients lets you know right away that this is an excellent pre-contest stack. Testosterone Propionate is a fast acting testosterone which gives you all the major benefits of the longer acting ‘tests’ but with significantly less water retention. It also clears the body relatively quickly (levels peaking after 24-36 hrs with a 3 day active life) making it the testosterone of choice for drug-tested athletes. You can check elsewhere on this site for more details on Testosterone Propionate.

Cut Stack also contains 50mg Drostanolone Propionate (Masteron). This is a DHT derivative which is fast acting and quickly broken down. It has the benefit of being immune from aromatization (conversion to estrogen) therefore water retention and fat deposition do not present themselves as issues to be dealt with. Since it is a strong androgenic it assists training strength and aggression – which can often be lacking in dieting athletes. It also produces a noticeable increase in muscle density and hardness – attributes necessary come contest time.

The final ingredient in ‘Cut-Stack’ is Trenbolone Acetate. This is a highly anabolic substance and provides the ‘missing link’ when it comes to quality gains. Many athletes who use testosterone only cycles fail to maximize their muscle growth due to the imbalance between androgens and anabolic substances. When highly androgenic, moderate/low anabolic substances are used exclusively there is a tendency to develop tendon and ligament damage due to reduced collagen synthesis.

Trenbolone also exhibits anti-estrogenic properties due to its unique chemical structure and its ability to completely occupy the estrogen receptor. Athletes also benefit from Trenbolones ability to shuttle nutrients into muscle highly efficiently leading to extremely high quality muscle gains.
So, as you can see, with all this going for it, it is not hard to see why this ready-made stack is so popular. Basically, it takes the guess work out of contest prep or – if you do not intend entering the competitive arena – it assists you in creating the leanest most impressive muscle growth with the least worry about side effects.

Of course, due to the nature of the compounds employed, susceptible individuals may encounter the usual acne, hair loss, increased aggression associated with steroid use. However, when used properly this formula is relatively easy on the liver and should prove more tolerable to the system than some ‘home-made’ stacks.

The effective dosage for ‘Cut -Stack’ (as recommended by the manufacturers) is 150-300mg every 1 – 3 days.

This is part of a continuing series provided exclusively by MuscleSport Mag giving information on a variety of performance-enhancing drugs for educational purposes. While it is apparent that people are going to use these substances regardless of the health and legal risks involved, quality information is necessary and learning as much about them as possible can only assist an adult making a decision either way.

Testosterone Propionate is the shortest estered, fastest acting form of testosterone currently available. Levels generally peak after 24-36 hours, however they soon begin to taper thereafter and the steroid itself only has a 2-3day life span. This can be a good thing for those susceptible to the side effects caused by longer acting testosterones (e.g. enthanate, cypionate, Sustanon 250) with Propionate causing less water retention and the user experiencing an increase in energy, a better muscle pump and an increase in strength and appetite after only one or two days.

The downside of Propionate is that, due to its composition, it requires more frequent injections in order to keep blood levels stable (this usually involves administration every second day). This can be troublesome since the Propionate ester can be very irritating at the injection site with sensitive individuals experiencing pain and swelling accompanied by a low-grade fever that may last for a few days.

Although still regarded as a controversial subject (and usually ‘forbidden territory’) the use of testosterone compounds by female athletes does exist at top competitive levels and the drug of choice is usually Testosterone Propionate. This is due to the fact that, when applied properly, androgenic side effects are more easily avoided. With this in mind, women who choose to use this form of testosterone usually administer it every 5 –7 days and experience better workout recovery and muscle growth with a minimum of androgenic related problems. In this case the dosage is usually 25-50mg per injection and the duration of use kept to 8-10 weeks. This is usually supplemented by adding a mild anabolic such as Primobolan or Anavar in order to increase protein synthesis.

For men daily injections of 50mg are often used and, as long as the pain and swelling at the injection site which often results from Propionate use, is not too troublesome the usual side effects triggered by testosterone use are less frequent. However, it is still testosterone and, for those with sensitive metabolisms side effects may still be evident and include acne, accelerated hair loss, possible water retention and gynecomastia. These effects are not as common as with other long acting testosterones though and most athletes find that the frequency of injections is the only real hassle with Propionate use.

‘FRONT LOADING’ WITH PROPIONATE

One technique often used with Testosterone Propionate is ‘front-loading’ where the rapid onset of action is used to trigger quick gains in strength and weight while waiting for a longer acting drug to take effect. One example of this would be to combine Testosterone Propionate with Testosterone Enanthate. The enanthate would be administered at 250mg and the propionate at 50mg at the beginning of a cycle then, after the effect of the propionate decreases (2 days) another 50mg shot is injected. By the time the effect of the second shot diminishes (another 2 days) the Enanthate kicks in and no further propionate would be necessary. This would lead to a longer and sustained level of testosterone in the body. Some athletes do prefer to take Propionate throughout their entire cycle, injecting 50-100mg every day or every second day. This may reduce the likelihood of water retention during a mass building cycle but, once again it has to be weighed up against the pain and swelling at the injection site caused by Propionate use.

Dianabol is one of those drugs that seem to have gained a ‘cult’ following over the years. Originally introduced in 1960, it soon gained the tag “Breakfast of Champions”. Whether this tag is deserved or not, Dianabol still remains one of the most popular bodybuilding staples to this day.

Similar to testosterone and Anadrol 50, Dianabol is a powerful substance with a great effect on protein metabolism. It also promotes calcium storage in the bones and is believed to have a strengthening effect on the whole system. A weight gain of 2-4 pounds per week in the first six weeks is usually observed which is accompanied by significant strength gains.

On the down side, it does have fairly noticeable side effects. Being quite estrogenic, gynecomastia (growth of female like breast tissue in males) could be a concern and water retention can become pronounced. For this reason sensitive individuals may wish to add an anti-estrogen such as Nolvadex or preferably Arimadex when using this drug. Androgenic side effects are also common and may manifest as bouts of oily skin, acne, body/facial hair growth as well as aggression.

Due to its androgenic effects, Dianabol is really only popular with male athletes. However, women who choose to experiment with it usually find low doses (5mg/day) produce significant gains in muscle growth.

For men a daily dosage of 4-5 tablets (20-25mg) is enough to produce dramatic results. Some do go higher than this but it must be noted that the higher the dose the higher the incidence of side effects.

It should also be noted that Dianabol has a relatively short half-life (only 3-5 hours) which means that you should split your dose and take it twice a day in order to keep blood levels more constant (this option is strictly up to the individual).

STACKING TIPS: Dianabol stacks well with a number of steroids, however it has been known to mix particularly well with Deca-Durabolin. In fact, legendary steroid ‘guru’ Dan Duchaine once said, “If you can’t grow on Deca and Dianabol you’re not going to grow at all!”

DIET TIPS: Dianabol (along with most steroids) relies on quality protein intake in order to exhibit maximum results. It has a particular affinity with steak, so be sure to include lean red meat in your diet.

LIVER ALERT: As a c17 alpha alkylated steroid, Dianabol does give your liver a lot of extra work to do. With this in mind you might want to monitor your liver enzyme values (achieved by regular blood testing by a physician) and take liver protecting supplements such as milk thistle and NAC.
