“Muscle, Smoke & Mirrors” by Randy Roach Book Review
- Updated: March 28, 2009
All books are created equal, right? That statement couldn’t be further from the truth when it refers to Randy Roach’s “Muscle, Smoke and Mirrors Volume One.” An exhausting in-depth look at the Iron Game and it’s humble beginnings. No, not Muscle Beach or even Bob Hoffman. No, Roach goes back centuries with detailed descriptions of not only the exercises but the nutrition that the earliest Men of Iron used.
This volume brings the reader up to the 1960s and 562 pages weren’t enough to tell the entire story. Roach is releasing not only Volume Two, but a third, as well. Figure on both to be winners like his first.
What makes this story even more impressive is the fact that Roach is visually impaired. Just one of the many reasons to take your hat off to him.
If you haven’t ordered this book, then you’re doing yourself a disservice. Visit www.randyroach.ca for details and ordering information and a preview of Volume Two.
Roach will be our special guest this coming Tuesday, March 31 at 1:00 PM on MuscleSport Radio.
