MMA Big Show “MAYHEM” Results – Sept. 12th – Live from the Belterra Casino Resort & Spa

This past Saturday, September 12^th, the Belterra Casino Resort & Spa was the scene as shooting star fight promotion MMA Big Show brought “MAYHEM” to Midwest fight fans. The event featured hot mixed martial arts action that Big Show fans have come to expect. “The fights were great!” said Big Show President/Promoter Jason Appleton.

The main event featured XFC veteran Matt Traylor (3-0) defeating IFL and Bellator veteran Josh “Bam Bam” Souder (7-4) by unanimous decision in what many would consider an upset. In the much anticipated co-main event, EliteXC, Bellator, KOTC and ShoXC veteran Bubba “The Menace” McDaniels (14-5) cemented his status as a top, young star, handing former Big Show Middleweight kingpin Mojo Horne (6-2) only his second loss ever.

McDaniels caught the former champ, getting the TKO stoppage within the first minute of the 1^st round.

In addition to the main event action, huge heavyweight Patrick Barrantine earned the submission win over Josh Burns in the 1^st round. Scott Cornwell, who recently signed an exclusive contract with MMA Big Show, garnered a huge win for himself in his pro MMA debut, finishing off Charles Cooper with the submission victory in the 1^stround. Amateur fights

–         Greg Hupp defeated Brandon Kaiser by unanimous decision

–         Chris Cox secured the TKO victory over Jimmy Keefer at 2:46 of the 2^nd round

–         Brian Buttera got the win over Quinton Simpson with a TKO at 0:30 of the 2^ndround

–         Promising heavyweight prospect Dominique Steele quickly finished Shane Sumpter at 0:23 of the 1^st round with a TKO stoppage

–         Colt Helton and Ben Cox battled each other, with Helton taking home the unanimous decision tally

–         Much-heralded TJ Ball was handed a tough loss by Stephen Westbeld, losing by submission at 1:20 of the 3^rd round

Professional fights

–         Scott Cornwell finished off Charles Cooper with a submission win at 3:36 of the 1^st round

–         Rising heavyweight prospect Patrick Barrantine raised his profile with a submission win over Josh Burns at 2:20 of the 1^st round

–         The co-main event saw Bubba McDaniels vanquish Mojo Horne with a TKO at 0:43 of the 1^st round

–         Matt Traylor got the unanimous decision victory over Josh “Bam Bam” Souderin the main event
