2012 IFBB Sheru Classic Preview, Full Line-Up Cards
- Updated: October 5, 2012
The second annual IFBB Sheru Classic is upon us and similar to last year, the top competitors from Olympia Weekend will be going at it just a week after they faced off in Las Vegas. Four categories are on the schedule and it’s goes without saying that rivalries – old and new – are sure to be continued in Delhi, India.
MEN’S OPEN BODYBUILDING
Phil Heath is the defending Sheru Classic champion and the current two-time Mr. Olympia, so ‘The Gift’ will no doubt be the favorite here, as he was in 2011. But he will get a good run for his money (as he did at the Orleans Arena) by Kai Greene, who was the runner-up at the O and third place finisher at the last Sheru.
There is a fairly large drop off following the top two, with the remainder of the line-up talented but not a threat to place higher than second. Toney Freeman has been around forever and has enough left to take third here, with Roelly Winklaar and youngster Todd jewel also in the mix for a top-three.
MEN’S 212
David Henry had a triumphant return to the big stage after missing time due to his military commitment and placed second to Flex Lewis at the 212 Showdown. It will be between Henry and Jose Raymond in India, with henry getting the nod.
FIGURE
Erin Stern bested Nicole Wilkins at the Olympia and these two have been battling for a few years now, so expect another chapter in their rivalry in Delhi. If Stern can maintain the same conditioning she had in Vegas, she will make it two in a row over Wilkins.
BIKINI
Nicole Nagrani and India Paulino will be left on stage for the final announcement and the former will take home the winner’s check.
