Shawn Rhoden Stays Hot, Wins Arnold Classic Europe in Madrid, Spain
- Updated: October 13, 2012
The man known as Flexatron has certainly beel flexing his muscles, literally and figuritively, on the IFBB stage of late. Winning the Europa SuperShow and PBW Tampa Pro were followed by a top-three finish at the Mr. Olympia and somehow Shawn Rhoden has been able to maintain his conditioning and walk away with another winner’s check.
This time it was $40,000 courtesy of the Arnold Classic Europe and Rhoden was easily the most peeled pro on the stage in Madrid, Spain. Dennis Wolf (runner-up) came in much better than his sixth place finish in Las Vegas, while Roelly Winklaar – far from his best – rounded out the top three.
Oksana Grishina has been closing the gap on Adela Garcia of late and was able to best the long time reigning Fitness Olympia champion here. This will surely set up a very interesting Fitness International at the Ohio version of the Arnold.
In fitness, Erin Stern backed up her Olympia title with another win.
