2013 IFBB NY Pro Preview: Can Cedric McMillan Hold Off Victor Martinez To Repeat?
- Updated: May 20, 2013
Cedric McMillan may not have had a chance to win the Arnold Brazil, but will have the opportunity to make it two consecutive victories at the prestigious New York Pro this Saturday. His disqualification from arriving at the competitor’s meeting late in South America was the subject of much Internet chatter and became even more of a topic once Big Mac’s physique was seen on camera. The condition that he brought there appeared to be more than enough to beat the eventual winner Branden Curry, but it became a moot point.
In Manhattan, McMillan will have to best a trio of local favorites in Victor Martinez, Juan Morel and Jon DeLarosa. Expect some noise to come from the Big Apple crowd when these three are introduced, but also when Canadian Antoine Vaillant and his v-taper hits the stage. For Martinez, the veteran will be making his return to the stage following a long layoff due to incarceration from visa issues and an injury following his release.
In the 212, Kevin English will defend his title and Sami Al Haddad, who many feel should have been victorious last May, appears to be his biggest threat.
There will also be men and women’s physique, figure and bikini.
Here are the official line-up cards:
