Roelly Winklaar Edges Lionel Beyeke For Wings of Strength Win

With an automatic Olympia bid hanging in the balance, Roelly Winklaar bested a field of 18 bodybuilders at the IFBB Wings of Strength show in Chicago and is Las Vegas bound. Lionel Beyeke placed second and Bill Wilmore third.

As we edge closer and closer to September, it has become so important for competitors relying on a win to qualify for the sport’s top prize and Winklaar can concentrate on peaking again in approximately 30 days, while Beyeke has to be strategic in taking the stage again for another opportunity. Perhaps he can accumulate enough points for a nod, but that will mean that the Frenchman will have to diet down more than once between now and then.

Ricky “Tricky” Jackson edged Guy Cisternino in the 212 and under category, while Monique Jones won the women’s bodybuilding. In figure, Ann Titone left with the winner’s check, as did Jamie Pinder in women’s physique.
