Rhoden, Keene, Kaltwasser On Top at 2014 IFBB Australian Pro Grand Prix

With the Arnold Classic barely in the rearview mirror, the IFBB went international with this weekend’s Australia Pro Grand Prix. Leading the line-up of 11 bodybuilders was Shawn Rhoden, who finished as Dennis Wolf’s runner-up in Columbus and walked away with the winner’s check. Holland’s William Bonac may have been the biggest surprise of the night with his runner-up status and came in peeled.

Some other names that also competed in Ohio were Evan Centopani and Branch Warren, who finished third and fourth, respectively, in Melbourne. Two locals also competed in Mike Debenham (11th) and Abraham Elzaibak (10th). An interesting name was David Henry, who has been a tough out in the 212 (and 202 before that) division but settled for seventh here.

Candice Keene made it two in a row  – in more ways than one – after winning the Figure International, as well as last year’s Australian Grand Prix. Heather Dees placed second and Ava Cowan third. But Erin Stern was hpoing to have something to say in her first show since placing second at the 2013 Figure Olympia and relinquishing her title to Nicole Wilkins but placed sixth.

In the bikini division, Ashley Kaltwasser – who is the defending Olympia and Arnold champion – finished on top of  a line-up that includes Stacey Alexander (second) and India Paulino (third).
