2014 IFBB New York Pro Preview

The Big Apple will be hosting one of the more prestigious shows on the IFBB calendar this weekend with the New York Pro with loaded line-ups in practically every industry category – men’s open bodybuilding, 212 bodybuilding, men and women’s physique, figure and bikini.

A very interesting line-up awaits the sure-to-be loud Manhattan audience in attendance and the volume always is turned up a notch for the headliners. Leading the way in bodybuilding will be defending champion Mandouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay, two locals in Juan Morel and Jon DeLarosa, as well as Fouad Abiad and Lionel Beyeke, two men that have been in excellent condition in recent shows.

Guy Cisternino won the 212 last weekend in Dallas and will look to make it two in a row in his own backyard. The New Jersey native will be getting a run for his money from the likes of Aaron Clark, Marco Rivera, Craig Richardson and Stan McQuay.

Last year’s MPD champion Sadik Hadzovic will be defending his title and there will be 27 other competitors trying to knock him off. One of them will be Jason Poston, who was victorious in his hometown at the Europa SuperShow a week ago, as well as Anton Antipov, Matt Acton and Sharif Reid.

Another winner in Dallas will be looking to begin a streak of her own in the WPD with Juliana Malacarne. In figure, 27 women are scheduled to take the stage, including Gennifer Strobo, Camala Rodriguez, Heather Dees and Patty Zariello.

Ashley Kaltwasser has been the one to beat in bikini and will be in for a great challenge from a line-up that will give us Stacey Alexander, Callie Bundy, and Yeshaira Robles.
