The Biggest Bodybuilding Events This Winter

As we enter into the winter season, the National Physique Committee in Pittsburgh is looking forward to hosting a number of bodybuilding events. Gargantuan athletes from all over the world will gather in their droves to show off their enviable physiques across a number of locations – here are just a few of the best bodybuilding events you cannot miss this season.

Rocky Mountain Championships

Taking place this weekend on 15th November, the Rocky Mountain Championships will play host to some of the finest body builders out there. Last year saw the likes of powerhouse Ken Baldwin taking home the overall Masters winner crown, and this year promises to be just as exciting an event. Ladies’ champion Kimberlee Hummel said of the event: “My first Colorado show was the ’13 Rocky. I was so grateful for how professionally it was run, how well we were all treated, and just the overall experience. The support from the Colorado NPC community is unmatched. Keep up the incredible work you do.” You can catch this one at the Green Hall Bunker Auditorium.

North Texas Fit Expo

This winter, the Arlington Convention Centre will be hosting the North Texas Fit Expo on 6th December. The event will feature the best of men and women’s bodybuilding, crossfit, grappling and strongman competitions with special guest appearances from Kevin Ofurum. For the budding bodybuilders out there, there will also be a seminar on how to get started, and all proceeds from the event will go towards the Lewisville Special Olympics.

Excalibur Championships

Taking place at the Veterans Auditorium on Overland Avenue, Culver City, the Excalibur Championships are making their way to The Golden State on 12th and 13th December. This national qualifier will feature unlimited men’s bodybuilding, master men’s bodybuilding plus a whole host of novice and master bikini competitions.

Legends Classic 2015

Moving on into the New Year, the Legends Classic 2015 will take place at the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on 31st January. Bikini events, men and women’s physique and even workshops on how to apply a spray tan will all be available within the casino walls. With so much muscled talent on show, spectators will scarcely have time to hit the casinos at the event, though they may turn to JackpotCity during the breaks.
