I sat down with a couple of people that were very successful in the sport of bodybuilding to discuss what was required to compete naturally and reach good levels. The common themes came back at me, dedication, sacrifice, diet, work ethic and desire to be the best. I liked what I was hearing. I decided then and there to learn as much as I could, train hard and smart and do the extra things to become as good as I could be. I ear marked a competition which was a year away at that stage and got to work. That was the start of September 2015.

The other major things that I chose to do was to travel once a year on my own to see different parts of the world, see and experience other cultures and to also continue to educate myself. I have been honored to see the wild in Africa in the Masai Mara in Kenya, the Coast of Mombasa Kenya, the forests in Uganda, work in Shanghai China in small stints, New Zealand, the history in Rome, the amazing buildings in Dubai and Qatar of the Middle East. This has also brought the opportunity to train in all of these places and also train people from all over the world in gyms there. I have completed two business Diplomas, three Advanced Business Diplomas, two Personal Training Certifications and recently awarded Premier Personal Training Certification. All the travel to other parts of the world opens your eyes to different things, different thoughts, views, ways of doing things, ways of seeing things, tolerance, mindfulness and its humbling. It has helped to make me the person I have become and the lessons learnt throughout this period has been profound.
