LA Galaxy headed to New England Revolution’s Gillette Stadium having been unbeaten in their last five outings. They’d won two and draw three and were looking to keep up their good run of form against a New England side who had been perhaps even more impressive, having a seven-game unbeaten run of their own to shout about. Many people would have probably predicted the fixture would end in a draw and it so nearly did. But that was not to be the case, as by the end of the game both sets of fans would have been emotionally exhausted; especially those wagering on any of the established online betting sites. This would have been definitely true for all those wagering on In-Play markets that sports betting sites such as Unibet offer in abundance.

The game in many ways was a drab affair until things really livened up in the 23rdminute when New England’s Cristian Penilla was sent off for violent conduct. The wide man’s dismissal should have been music to the ears of The Galaxy, but five minutes later Diego Fagundez put New England ahead with a right footed finish after latching onto a Luis Caicedo through ball.

The goal breathed fresh life into New England’s ten men as they looked to double their lead. Fagundez and Wilfried Zahibo went close but The Galaxy managed to get back on level terms when Chris Pontius struck from an Ashely Cole cross. Their joy was short lived though as New England remarkably went ahead once again on the stroke of half time. Luis Caicedo went from provider to goal scorer this time around as he headed home from close range, giving his side a 2-1 lead at the break.

With three goals in the first forty-five minutes, as well as a red card, many were expecting the second half to roar into life almost immediately, but this wasn’t to be the case. New England showed a lot more purpose and a bigger attacking threat during the second half and they looked to be holding on for a huge 2-1 victory, in a game where they had played for so long with 10 men.

The Galaxy’s hopes looked to have been ended in the 85thminute when former Chelsea left back Ashley Cole was sent off for a second yellow. With the sides now having the same amount of players on the pitch LA Galaxy no longer had the man advantage and looked to be heading for their first defeat in six games, but everything changed in stoppage time, much to the dismay of New England Revolution.

The Galaxy won a corner in the 92ndminute and Dave Roney managed to head home from Romain Alessandrini’s cross following the corner. Against the run of play The Galaxy had managed to get back on level terms but they weren’t done there. The Galaxy wasted no time as they went straight on the attack as they pushed for a winner and they found one with Romain Alessandrini the architect once again. Chris Pontius had scored his second of the game with a left footed finish and in doing so had turned the game completely on its head, securing all three points for The Galaxy.
