The Yankees have acquired LHP Joe Mantiply from the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for cash considerations.
Mantiply, 28, has a 1-0 record and 3.72 ERA (29.0IP, 12ER) in 18 appearances with Triple-A Louisville this season. He also made one appearance at Double-A Chattanooga (1.1IP, 2ER) while returning from “Tommy John” surgery, performed in March 2018.
Mantiply was assigned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and is not on the Yankees’ 40-man roster.
