The Yankees today acquired RHP Cory Gearrin off waivers from the Seattle Mariners and added him to the 40-man roster.
Gearrin, 33, appeared in 48 games (two starts) with Seattle this season and went 0-2 with a 3.92 ERA (41.1IP, 18ER).
In 318 career appearances (two starts) over eight Major League seasons with the Atlanta Braves (2011-13), San Francisco Giants (2015-18), Texas Rangers (2018), Oakland Athletics (2018) and the Seattle Mariners (2019), the right-hander has combined to go 12-11 with five saves and a 3.59 ERA (288.0IP, 115ER).
