Who am I? Well, I’m 29, collect tattoos, busy mom of an eight-year-old cheerleader, work full time at an international military flight training center where we train United States pilots as well as international and NATO pilots. I’m a full-time college student working on my Masters in Business Analytics.
I grew up being home schooled on a farm in a tiny town in Connecticut. At 18, I joined the Army as a 94P (MLRS Repairman) so I worked on the long range rocket artillery systems. During that time, I worked heavily on suicide prevention programs and peer-to-peer counseling programs to assist struggling soldiers. Mental illness is something I have personally struggled with and I have lost comrades, too, so it is very near and dear to my heart.
In my spare time when I’m not being a cheer mom or studying, I am traveling the country competing in OCRs and long-range precision shooting competitions. My fitness and training is strict time wise. 3:00 am is my gym time, heavy weights and drop sets are my go to, and in the evening I will do a cardio of some kind (long distance endurance, sprint drills, etc.).
I also work closely with my husbands unit to facilitate weight loss programs for soldiers on post and work with the leadership to assist families during deployments and for soldiers trying to transition back into the “normalcy” of returning home.
