ORLANDO, FL NEW OLYMPIA LOCATION

Whatever it takes. That’s the approach that Jake Wood and Dan Solomon have had to take to get the 2020 Olympia Weekend planned amongst so many delays and roadblocks. The event – that was originally scheduled to take place in Las Vegas back in September – has now been moved to Orlando, Florida due to COVID-19 restrictions. With so much riding on this, the state of Nevada has quarantine guidelines in place, as well as capacity issues at evens.

For Wood and Solomon to have pulled this off at the 11th hour is nothing short of amazing and Florida has been a state where many IFBB pro bodybuilding events have been held in the recent months with no problems whatsoever. So it seems like a natural lateral move to hold the sport’s biggest event of the year in a state that has been open more than the rest.

From the official Olympia website:

This year, the Orange County Convention Center and Hyatt Regency Orlando in Orlando, FL will host Joe Weider’s Olympia Fitness & Performance Weekend. For those traveling by air, Orlando International Airport (MCO) is located only 12 miles from the host hotel.
