Ed Byrne NYPD Execution – LA Sheriffs Shooting Reminiscent of Tragic 1988 Murder / Response Needed
- Updated: December 8, 2020
NY Daily News
When Police Officer Edward Byrne of the 103 Pct. was executed in 1988, the response was strong by NYPD. The original TNTF (Tactical Narcotics Task Force) was formed in Queens South to take out the drug kingpins who ordered and carried out the contract killing of a uniformed cop. TNT units were eventually formed city wide and was the lynchpin of cleaning up New York’s five boroughs. The recent shooting of two LA Sheriffs was eerily reminiscent of the Byrne shooting, but there was no response to answer to the anti-police sentiment that is prevalent today by the left.
