The bodybuilding community mourns once again with the passing of Victor Richards, who earned his IFBB pro card at the 1992 Nigerian Championships and was a fan favorite due to his massive size. Not many details were available at the time of this writing, but the cause of death is reportedly heart related.

Richards never competed as a pro, but was a regular in the Weider publications. He was a mainstay at Gold’s Gym in Venice and was a big part of the bodybuilding community regardless of his absence from the competitive stage.

His “Muscle Outcast” column appeared in MuscleSport Magazine in 2015 and 2016 and Richards delved into many different topics. He stepped away from the sport and had a number of businesses he launched that were successful.

Our condolences goes out to the Richards family.
