Yankees Acquire Tyler Wade From Angels

The New York Yankees announced that they have acquired INF/OF Tyler Wade on Wednesday from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
Wade, 27, hit .218 (32-for-147) with 22R, 5 doubles, 1HR, 8RBI, 10BB, 1HP and 8SB in 67 games with the Angels this season before being designated for assignment on July 3, 2022. He then cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Salt Lake on July 8, 2022. Wade was acquired by the Angels from the Yankees in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations on November 22, 2021. Over parts of six Major League seasons (2017-22), he owns a .214 (124-for-580) career batting average with 103R, 24 doubles, 2 triples, 7HR, 41RBI, 58BB and 38SB in 331 games. The left-handed hitting Murrieta, Calif., native was originally selected by the Yankees in the fourth round of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft out of Murrieta Valley High School (Calif.).
Wade was assigned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
