The US Open takes place every year at the end of Grand Slam season in New York, where all eyes turn to the tennis centre in Flushing Meadows where fans can see their favourite players in action. Like most sports these days, many of us like to bet on the outcome of the tournament and which player we think will win, as a way of adding a bit of excitement to the game, and to win a bit of cash. Read on as we look at tennis odds for the US Open this month.

The US Open

The US Open tennis championships started on Monday in New York at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Centre with players from around the world competing in both men’s, women’s and doubles championships taking place. It is played on a hard court and is the fourth and final Grand Slam tournament of the year. Last year saw Emma Raducanu winning the women’s singles championship as her first major tennis title, and Danill Medvedev winning the men’s championship. Tennis greats like Serena Williams and Rafael Nadal will both be competing this year and fans will be eager to see who is going to come out on top. Here are some of the best odds for The US Open to give you the best chance of winning your wager.

Casper Ruud -175

Casper Ruud is one of the top favourites that is expected to go all the way to the final of the US Open. However, things might get a little tense when he takes on Karen Khachanov, as he’s already proven that his skills are not to be underestimated. The Norwegian player is only 23, but has already received a ranking of No.5, also making him the highest ranking player from Norway ever! Only last year did he manage to reach the quarterfinals of Wimbledon, something that’s not so easily achieved. He’s already defeated Kyle Edmund, Tim van Rijthoven, Tommy Paul, Corentin Moutet, and Matteo Berrettini. Showing just how good a player he really is. With such a strong history behind him, it’s no wonder he’s one of the favourites to go all the way this year.

Karen Khachanov +137

The Russian player Karen Khachanov is only 26, but he’s managed to win four ATP Tour singles titles and a singles ranking of No. 8 in the world in 2019 after he reached the quarter-finals of the French Open. Khachanov has played against tennis royalty like Rafael Nadal, so he’s no stranger to a tough match. Khachanov is due to play against Ruud in the US Open, so this battle of skills will be a nail biting game to watch. He’s already beaten Nick Kyrgios with a 3-2 win, and Kyrgios was a -500 favourite to win! So, be sure to tune into their upcoming match, which can only be described as legendary.

Iga Swiatek +350

Onto the women’s competition and the polish Iga Swiatek is odds makers favourite this year. At just 21 years old, Swiatek has already won two Grand Slams and is ranked number one in the world by the Women’s Tennis Association. She has won the French Open in both 2020 and 2022 and is one of the youngest women’s singles champions at a major tournament – so it is easy to see why she tops the board for the best odds this year.

Ons Jabeur +130

Ons Jabeur is definitely one to watch this year. With two wins and zero losses during the US Open so far, their match against Caroline Garcia will be extremely interesting! 28-year-old Jabeur is well on her way to a second Grand Slam semi-final just this year, and she even managed to reach the finals of Wimbledon. Her highest achievement has to be when she became the first Tunisian and Arab player to win at the 2022 Madrid Open which is a WTA 1000 event. Jabeur is without a doubt a fantastic player, so be sure to keep a keen eye on her performance.

The US Open is set to be one fantastic event, and the overall winners are yet to be decided. Who knows which player will take the crown, as what we’ve seen so far proves that anyone can flip the game on its head!
