Yanks Sign RHP McKinley Moore

The Yankees claimed RHP McKinley Moore off waivers from the Philadelphia Phillies.

Moore, 25, made his Major League debut in 2023, appearing in three games with the Phillies (3.1IP, 5H, 7ER, 5BB, 2K, 1HR). In 20 combined relief appearances with Triple-A Lehigh Valley, Single-A Clearwater and Double-A Reading last season, he went 2-1 with a 1.33 ERA (20.1IP, 12H, 5R/3ER, 22BB, 37K, 0HR).

Over four minor league seasons in the White Sox (2019, ’21) and Phillies (2022-23) organizations, Moore has gone 10-9 with 12 saves and a 3.92 ERA (133.0IP, 122H, 76R/58ER, 86BB, 199K, 7HR) in 118 appearances (one start).

The Houston, Tex., native was originally selected by Chicago-AL in the 14th round of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Moore was acquired by Philadelphia from Chicago-AL in exchange for OF Adam Haseley on March 29, 2022. He was designated for assignment by Philadelphia on February 14, 2024.

To make room on the 40-man roster, the Yankees placed RHP Lou Trivino on the 60-day injured list.
