The United Football League has announced its Week 2 Players of the Week, recognizing standout performances from quarterback Nolan Henderson, safety Sam Kidd, and kicker John Hoyland.

Nolan Henderson Leads Game-Winning Drive for Houston
Quarterback Nolan Henderson delivered a clutch performance in Houston’s 22-20 victory over the Birmingham Stallions, stepping in midgame after an injury to starter Hunter Dekkers.
Despite playing through a dislocated finger on his throwing hand, Henderson completed 15-of-23 passes for 186 yardswith a 90.1 passer rating, while adding 23 rushing yards.
Henderson’s defining moment came late in the fourth quarter. Trailing 20-19 with just over two minutes remaining, he led a nine-play game-winning drive, highlighted by a crucial fourth-and-16 conversion to extend the possession. He then helped set up the game-winning field goal, sealing a dramatic comeback win.
Sam Kidd Anchors DC Defenders Defense
Safety Sam Kidd delivered a strong all-around defensive performance in DC’s win over the Columbus Aviators.
Kidd recorded a team-high seven tackles (six solo) while also making an impact in coverage with one interception and two pass breakups. His ability to disrupt plays and control the secondary helped shift momentum in favor of the Defenders throughout the game.
John Hoyland Delivers Game-Winning Kick
Houston Gamblers kicker John Hoyland played a decisive role in the victory, accounting for 16 of the team’s 22 points.
Hoyland converted all five of his field goal attempts, including a game-winning 50-yard field goal as time expired. His consistency and composure under pressure earned him Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
