American Soccer Club New York Signs Goalkeeper Logan Guzik for 2026 Season
American Soccer Club New York has announced the signing of goalkeeper Logan Guzik to a one-year deal for the 2026 National Premier Soccer League season.
The Long Island native joins the Fighting Tomcats as a promising addition between the posts. Guzik is currently a sophomore at Sacred Heart University.
Guzik Ready to Make an Impact in 2026
“I’m super excited to get started with ASC New York,” said Guzik. “I’m grateful for the opportunity and ready to represent the club on and off the field. We have high expectations this season and believe we can compete for the top spot in our region.”
Strong Local Background and Development Path
Guzik was a four-year varsity player at Patchogue-Medford High School and has deep roots in the Long Island soccer scene.
His development includes time with Atletico F.C. New York, the Patchogue-Medford Youth Soccer League, and East Meadow Soccer Club, where he competed in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL). He also gained international experience during a trial with the SoccerVisa Player Development Center in Costa Rica.
Coaching Staff Highlights Work Ethic and Potential
Head coach John Fitzgerald praised Guzik’s mentality and performance during the evaluation process.
“Logan came in highly recommended and impressed throughout tryouts,” Fitzgerald said. “His work ethic and commitment to improving stood out, and we believe he’ll be a valuable part of our goalkeeping group this season.”
Team Culture Driving Confidence
Guzik emphasized the strong team environment as a key factor in his decision to join the club.
“The culture here has been incredible,” he said. “There are a lot of local players, and I’ve known many of them for years. With Coach Fitzgerald leading us, we believe we can have a strong season.”
ASC New York Prepares for Season Opener
American Soccer Club New York will continue to announce additional signings and partnerships in the coming weeks.
The Fighting Tomcats will open their 2026 NPSL season on May 2 against the New York Shockers at Mitchel Athletic Complex.
