UFL Trade News: Dallas Sends QB Luis Perez to St. Louis for Corey Stewart

Luis Perez Brings Veteran Experience to St. Louis

Perez, a veteran of multiple spring football leagues, has been one of the most productive quarterbacks in the UFL. He led the league in passing yards in each of the past two seasons and played a key role in leading the Arlington Renegades to a championship following a midseason trade in 2023.

During the 2025 season, Perez completed 224-of-313 passes (71.6%) for 2,294 yards, with nine touchdowns and five interceptions across 10 games.

His professional career spans several leagues, including the AAF, XFL, USFL and The Spring League, along with NFL training camp stints with the Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Chargers.

Renegades Add Offensive Line Help with Corey Stewart

In return, Dallas acquires Corey Stewart, a 6-foot-4, 314-pound offensive tackle who has appeared in all four games this season for St. Louis.

Stewart has shown versatility along the offensive line, rotating at both left and right tackle. He previously signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2025.

At the collegiate level, Stewart played at Ball State and Purdue, appearing in 44 games with 41 starts. During his time in the Big Ten, he allowed just one sack in 345 pass-blocking snaps, establishing himself as a reliable protector.
