One UFL Playoff Spot Remains Entering Final Week of 2026 Season
The United Football League playoff picture is nearly complete heading into Week 10, with only one postseason berth still available in the race for the 2026 United Bowl.
The DC Defenders, Orlando Storm, and St. Louis Battlehawks have all clinched playoff spots, leaving the Birmingham Stallions and Louisville Kings battling for the fourth and final postseason position.
UFL Playoffs and United Bowl Set for June
The four-team UFL playoffs will take place on Sunday, June 7, with games airing nationally on ABC and FOX.
The season will conclude with the 2026 United Bowl at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, June 13 at 3:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
Teams That Have Clinched Playoff Spots
DC Defenders
The Defenders secured a playoff berth in Week 9 despite a 27-19 loss to Orlando.
Orlando Storm
Orlando became the first team to clinch after defeating the Dallas Renegades 31-24 in Week 8.
St. Louis Battlehawks
St. Louis locked up its postseason spot with a 21-15 victory over the Houston Gamblers in Week 9.
Final Playoff Spot Scenarios
Birmingham Stallions
Birmingham can clinch the final playoff spot with:
- a win over Houston
- a DC victory over Orlando
- and a Columbus Aviators victory over Louisville.
Louisville Kings
Louisville can clinch with:
- a win over Columbus
OR
- a Houston victory over Birmingham
OR
- an Orlando victory over DC.
Teams Eliminated from Contention
The Columbus Aviators, Dallas Renegades, and Houston Gamblers were officially eliminated from playoff contention following Week 9 results.
