Yankees 2027 Schedule: Opening Day, Red Sox and Subway Series Dates
The New York Yankees will open the 2027 regular season at Yankee Stadium on March 25 against the Toronto Blue Jays, kicking off a 162-game schedule featuring rivalry matchups with the Boston Red Sox, six Subway Series games against the New York Mets and several marquee holiday games in the Bronx.
The Yankees will play 52 games against American League East opponents, 62 non-divisional American League games and 48 Interleague contests.
Yankees Open 2027 Season at Home
Opening Day is scheduled for Thursday, March 25, when the Yankees host the Blue Jays.
Following an off day, New York will complete the three-game series against Toronto on March 27-28 before welcoming the Athletics to Yankee Stadium for three games from March 29-31.
The Yankees will then hit the road for the first time, opening April with four games at Cleveland from April 1-4 followed by a three-game series at Pittsburgh from April 5-7.
Yankees-Red Sox Rivalry Begins in June
Fans will have to wait until June for the first Yankees-Red Sox showdown of 2027.
The rivals will meet for the first time with a four-game series at Fenway Park from June 4-7.
Boston will then visit Yankee Stadium just days later for three games from June 11-13.
The Yankees return to Fenway Park for another three-game series from Aug. 6-8 before the Red Sox make their final trip to the Bronx from Sept. 17-19.
In total, the Yankees and Red Sox are scheduled to meet 13 times during the regular season.
Six Subway Series Games Against Mets
The Yankees and Mets will once again battle for New York City bragging rights with six Subway Series games on the 2027 schedule.
The first three-game series will take place at Citi Field from May 28-30.
Following the All-Star break, the Yankees will immediately renew the crosstown rivalry when they open the second half of the season by hosting the Mets for three games at Yankee Stadium from July 16-18.
Longest Yankees Homestands
One of New York’s longest stretches at Yankee Stadium comes in May, when the Yankees play nine games over 10 days from May 14-23.
That homestand features three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Angels and San Francisco Giants.
The Yankees’ longest homestand of the season comes shortly afterward with 10 consecutive games over 10 days from June 25 through July 4.
New York will host the Detroit Tigers for three games, the Seattle Mariners for four and the Houston Astros for three, concluding the stretch with an Independence Day matchup in the Bronx.
Longest Road Trips
The Yankees face two nine-game road trips during the 2027 campaign.
From June 15-23, New York will play nine games in nine days with three-game series at the Tampa Bay Rays, Atlanta Braves and Minnesota Twins.
Another challenging trip awaits from Aug. 6-15, when the Yankees play nine games over 10 days against the Boston Red Sox, Tampa Bay Rays and Cincinnati Reds.
Holiday and Special-Date Games at Yankee Stadium
Yankee Stadium will host several notable games during the season.
The Yankees will be home on Memorial Day against the Kansas City Royals on May 31 and will again host Kansas City on Lou Gehrig Day on June 2.
New York will host Houston on Independence Day, July 4, and the Chicago White Sox on Roberto Clemente Day, Sept. 15.
The Yankees will be on the road for several other notable dates, facing Detroit on Jackie Robinson Day on April 15, Miami on Mother’s Day on May 9, Atlanta on Father’s Day on June 20 and Texas on Labor Day on Sept. 6.
Yankees Finish 2027 Regular Season on the Road
New York will face a potentially challenging finish as the Yankees close the regular season with six consecutive road games against American League East opponents.
The final road trip begins with three games against the Toronto Blue Jays from Sept. 21-23 before the Yankees head to Baltimore for their final three games against the Orioles from Sept. 24-26.
With 13 games against Boston, six Subway Series matchups against the Mets and a season-ending divisional road trip, the Yankees’ 2027 schedule features plenty of marquee dates as New York looks to make another run at the postseason.
