The 2026 NFL season rolls into Week 4 following a historic weekend of close finishes, with five undefeated teams remaining and the league’s international schedule shifting to London.
Twelve games in Week 3 were decided by eight points or fewer, tying the NFL record for the most one-score games in a single week. Five teams remain perfect through three weeks, including the Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders and Minnesota Vikings — three clubs that missed the postseason in 2025.
Week 4 also features the first of three consecutive NFL game weeks in London, as the Indianapolis Colts face the Washington Commanders at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Chiefs and Raiders Meet in Battle of Unbeatens
One of the biggest games of Week 4 takes place in Las Vegas, where the Kansas City Chiefs (3-0) visit the Las Vegas Raiders (3-0) Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS.
Both teams are averaging 29.3 points per game. It will be the first Week 4-or-later matchup between undefeated teams averaging at least 29 points per game since Arizona faced the Los Angeles Rams in 2021.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes earned his 115th career victory last week, tying Tom Brady for the most wins by a quarterback through his first 150 career starts, including the postseason.
Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins, meanwhile, has thrown three touchdown passes in each of the first three games. He became the first quarterback age 38 or older in NFL history to accomplish that feat over the opening three games of a season.
Las Vegas tight end Brock Bowers also returned with a huge performance last week, catching 10 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown. It was his sixth career game with at least 10 receptions, the most ever by a tight end over his first three NFL seasons.
49ers Put Perfect Record on the Line Against Denver
The San Francisco 49ers (3-0) host the Denver Broncos (2-1) Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS.
San Francisco enters Week 4 leading the NFL with a plus-48 point differential while ranking second in scoring offense at 32.7 points per game and tied for third in scoring defense at 16.7 points allowed per game.
Quarterback Brock Purdy has been one of the league’s hottest players. He is the only quarterback with multiple touchdown passes and a passer rating of at least 100 in each of the season’s first three weeks. Purdy leads the NFL with a 133.1 passer rating and is tied for the league lead with nine touchdown passes.
Denver quarterback Bo Nix led a dramatic comeback against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3, throwing two third-quarter touchdown passes before scoring the game-winning rushing touchdown with 47 seconds remaining.
Josh Allen and Bills Look to Remain Perfect
The Buffalo Bills (3-0) host the New England Patriots (1-2) Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
Buffalo can improve to 4-0 in consecutive seasons for only the second time in franchise history.
Quarterback Josh Allen made NFL history last week by becoming the first quarterback with multiple rushing touchdowns in three consecutive games. With six rushing touchdowns this season, Allen also became just the fourth player ever to record at least six rushing scores in nine consecutive seasons, joining Hall of Famers Marshall Faulk, LaDainian Tomlinson and Jim Brown.
Bills linebacker Greg Rousseau leads the NFL with six sacks and has recorded at least two sacks in each of Buffalo’s first three games.
Steelers-Browns Renew AFC North Rivalry
Week 4 opens Thursday night when the Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1) visit the Cleveland Browns (2-1) at 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video.
Pittsburgh quarterback Aaron Rodgers recorded his 165th career regular-season victory in Week 3, tying Ben Roethlisberger for fifth-most in NFL history. Only Tom Brady, Brett Favre, Peyton Manning and Drew Brees have more.
Cleveland defensive tackle Mason Graham enters Week 4 as one of only three NFL players with a sack in each of the season’s first three games.
Vikings Defense Powers 3-0 Start
The Minnesota Vikings (3-0) host the Miami Dolphins (0-3) Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET on FOX.
Minnesota leads the NFL with 14 sacks and has recorded at least four sacks and multiple takeaways in all three games. The Vikings are only the fourth team since 1990 to accomplish that feat in each of their first three games.
NFL Returns to London
The Indianapolis Colts (1-2) and Washington Commanders (1-2) meet Sunday at 9:30 a.m. ET on NFL Network at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Quarterbacks Daniel Jones and Marcus Mariota are both set to make international starts for the second consecutive season in different markets. Jones started in Berlin last season, while Mariota started in Madrid.
The matchup begins a run of three consecutive NFL game weeks in London.
Falcons-Saints Mark Superdome Anniversary
The Atlanta Falcons (1-2) visit the New Orleans Saints (1-2) Monday night at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN in an NFC South rivalry game carrying special significance.
The matchup commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Superdome’s reopening following Hurricane Katrina. On September 25, 2006, New Orleans defeated Atlanta 23-3 on Monday Night Football in the first game played at the Superdome following the hurricane.
New NFL Head Coaches Making Early Impact
Six head coaches in their first season with their respective teams have won at least two of their first three games: Buffalo’s Joe Brady, Las Vegas’ Klint Kubiak, the New York Giants’ John Harbaugh, Pittsburgh’s Mike McCarthy, Baltimore’s Jesse Minter and Cleveland’s Todd Monken.
Excluding the NFL’s inaugural 1920 season, this is only the third time in league history that six first-year head coaches have accomplished the feat.
With five undefeated teams, another international matchup and several division rivalries on the schedule, Week 4 of the 2026 NFL season offers another packed slate as the early-season playoff picture begins to take shape.
